Platypus, Mount Field National Park

by Toothbrush published on 01/03/2012 category Australian Wildlife

Fur, webbed "duck" feet and a soft "beak"... the platypus is such a strange animal that when it was first discovered and sent back as a stuffed specimen to scientists in London, they deemed it fake. This cute little critter swimming in the blue depths of a Tasmanian lake is definitely both real and alive!
