Rainforest, Barrington Tops

Rainforest in Barrington Tops National Park, NSW

The forest is not usually one of my favorite environments. I have too much of a thing for the vast open spaces of the outback. On this 3-day trip to Barrington Tops National Park, NSW, the weather was cold, wet and misty. The park was infested with leeches and I even got caught out by a thunderstorm during one of my walks. Is it despite or because of this that no other place has ever come so close to changing my mind? One thing is for sure, the rainforest up there was truly beautiful.
